Ten Years After

Ten Years After

Ten Years After were propelled to worldwide fame after their 1969 appearance at Woodstock, where a nine-minute rendition of “I’m Going Home” showed off the lightning-fast guitar work and howling vocals of Alvin Lee, the unrelenting stomp of bassist Leo Lyons and drummer Ric Lee, and the soulful support of keyboard man Chick Churchill. Standout record ‘A Space In Time’ from 1971 would spawn the psychedelic anti-war anthem, ‘I’d Love to Change the World’. Breaking up in the mid-70s, Ten Years After would return as a band in the 80s and continued to record and tour five decades after they started out. Chyrsalis released 1967-1974 in 2021, a definitive 10-CD boxset documenting the eight studio albums, one live album and a bonus disc of never before heard recordings from 1972 called The Cap Ferrat Sessions, newly mixed by Chris Kimsey.
