Their debut single, We Close Our Eyes, reached no. 5 in the UK charts and No.5 in the US Billboard Dance Charts and was accompanied by a ground-breaking video directed by Kevin Godley & Lol Cream. Further hit singles quickly followed (Call Me, Goodbye Girl and Don’t Look Down) along with a follow-up compilation of remixes and live tracks called Bangs & Crashes. Go West would go on to have three top 20 UK albums, ‘Go West’ (1985), ‘Dancing on the Couch’ (1987) and ‘Indian Summer’ (1992) spawning two top forty singles from their debut effort ‘We Close Out Eyes’ and ‘Don’t Look Down’.
