Steve Harley formed Cockney Rebel in early 1972 along with Stuart Elliott, Paul Jeffreys, Jean-Paul Crocker and Milton Reame-James. Having signed to EMI Records after only 5 gigs they released their first single ‘Sebastian’, which still remains an early Harley classic composition today, it was quickly followed by their debut album ‘The Human Menagerie’ in 1973. The endurance of Cockney Rebel’s early recordings are still much loved and in demand today.
Steve Harley remains very active on the live circuit and will be performing ‘The Human Menagerie’ along with its follow up ‘The Psychomodo’ in their entirety with an orchestra and choir in a special concert at the Glasgow Concert Hall on 19th May 2018. Other scheduled dates below.
