Steve Harley formed Cockney Rebel in early 1972 along with Stuart Elliott, Paul Jeffreys, Jean-Paul Crocker and Milton Reame-James. Having signed to EMI Records after only 5 gigs, they released their first single ‘Sebastian’, which still remains an early Harley classic composition today. It was quickly followed by their debut album ‘The Human Menagerie’ in 1973. Their second album, 1974’s ‘The Psychomodo’, featured the hit single ‘Mr. Soft’.

This 4CD/49 track Anthology set features the first two albums along with a host of non-album singles, b-sides, previously unreleased outtakes and early versions along with an exclusive CD compiling all the recordings the band did for the BBC.

This is packaged in a clamshell box with 4CDs and a 16-page booklet.
